Updating Blog Posts

December 21st, 2009 Leave a comment Go to comments

Here’s features I would like for my blog:

  1. A way for commenters to be emailed future comments on a thread. Volokh Conspiracy has that.
  2. A way to make sure that a particular post is “sticky” and stays as the first or the second or the n’th post appearing. VC has something like that too.
  3. A way for any post that I update to move from whatever date location it is in to the top of the list, with a note as to its original and new date.

Not the prettiest way, but publish a post [as opposed to scheduling one] and then go back and change the date to some point into the future. Then publish again. It will show the future date, but be published and visible to your readers.

You have to create a new post as far as I can tell or change the date as above. Any reference to the original date would be lost by changing the date, so that would be a manual add.

A good site for Climate information is http://wattsupwiththat.wordpress.com/

It has links to many other sites. You should also check out Joe D'Aleo at http://www.icecap.us

Hope the data file on monthly record temperatures was useful. I hope to update it next month.
